Call for abstracts
PassivHusNorden2008 herby invite anyone who is engaged in low energy buildings and passive houses to submit a paper to the conference. The deadline for the abstract is 18th of December 2007, and the deadline for the full paper is 1st of March 2008. The author can choose to submit a one page summary, or a full paper with an upper restriction of 8 pages. Papers and abstracts can be written either in Nordic languages (Swedish, Danish or Norwegian) or in English. There will be both oral and poster presentations at the conference.
Themes for the conference
The following themes will be focused:
- Passive house and low energy projects:
- Projects in the design phase
- Completed projects or projects in the construction phase
- User experiences and measurements for completed buildings
- Renovation to low energy or passive house standard
- The passive house concept applied to non-residential buildings
- Passive house components in the Nordic market:
- Windows
- Ventilation systems
- Heating- and energy supply systems
- New construction details and solutions
- Economy, ecology and sustainable development related to the passive house concept
- Indoor climate and comfort in Nordic passive houses
- The user focus: Living in a passive house
- Design methods: Planning, calculation and simulation
- Energy supply in passive houses and larger development projects
- Zero carbon municipalities and development areas
- Certification and standardization of passive houses and low energy buildings
- Energy scenarios for the Nordic countries
Time schedule
- December 18, 2007
- Closing date for submitting abstracts
- January 15, 2008
- Notification of the authors about acceptance of the submitted abstract
- March 1, 2008
- Deadline for submitting of the paper (1 page summary or max 8 page full paper)
- April 2 – 4, 2008
- 1st PassivhusNorden conference in Trondheim, Norway
Requirements for the abstract
The magnitude of the abstract should be between 300-400 words. The abstract should preferably describe:
- A question, problem or a case
- Methods used
- Results
- Conclusions
However, the abstract can be adapted to the problem/case at hand.
